Sergio Romero (AZ) – The young shot stopper has really proved his critics wrong with his outstanding performances this campaign. Other goalkeepers might have made more saves, but Romero's outstanding clean sheet record and reliability made him the Netherlands' best goalie of the season.

Dirk Marcellis (PSV) – Marcellis has been one of the few PSV players who enjoyed a good season. The versatile defender is at his best as a centre-back, but the Dutch international did his job in excellent fashion whenever his coach asked him to play at right-back. He appears to be a certainty for the Oranje squad heading to South Africa in 2010.

Andreas Granqvist (Groningen) – The Swede joined Groningen from Premier League outfit Wigan Athletic and didn't need long to make an impact. Granqvist scored one of the best goals of the season against Utrecht and was solid as a rock in his defensive duties throughout the season.

Jan Vertonghen (Ajax) – It hasn't been a vintage season from Ajax by any means, but versatile Belgian international Jan Vertonghen still managed to develop into a key player at the Amsterdam side. The youngster showed some excellent passing on the ball and was always ready to organise his back line when needed.

Edson Braafheid (Twente) – What an excellent season the Twente defender has had. Braafheid had a crucial role in his side's league and cup success and got called up to make his international debut for the Oranje. The left-back has attracted the interest of several bigger sides and could very well leave the Enschede outfit this summer.

Demy de Zeeuw (AZ) – De Zeeuw lost his spot in the AZ starting XI at the beginning of this campaign, but the midfielder quickly found back his best form. The Dutch international has been instrumental for AZ with his intelligent passing and movement. He was the architect of AZ's success this term and will probably move to a bigger club this summer.

Danny Holla (Groningen) – The 21-year-old has been one of the surprise packages of this season. His powerful long range strikes have given several shot stoppers nightmares in only his first season as a first team regular. Additionally, Holla has shown some strong tackling and a lovely fighting spirit this term. He proved to be a leader on the pitch, despite his relative young age.

Luis Suarez (Ajax) – No-one can disagree with the inclusion of the Uruguayan international. Suarez scored 22 league goals, created 14 more goals and was Ajax's best man this season. His silky dribbles and amazing solo efforts were a pleasure to watch. It's hard to see him remain at the Amsterdam outfit with the likes of Milan chasing him.

Ibrahim Afellay (PSV) – The talented playmaker has been highly impressive for the Eindhoven side this campaign. Afellay scored 13 league goals and proved to be too good for the Eredivisie with his excellent performances. He should leave PSV this summer if he wants to develop into a world-class player. Inter are reportedly keeping tabs on him.  

Eljero Elia (Twente) – Elia has the speed and trickery to cause any defender all kinds of trouble and that's exactly what he has done this campaign. The left winger was simply unstoppable on occasions and fully deserved to be crowned Eredivisie Talent of the Year. He has already attracted the interest of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and HSV.

Mounir El Hamdaoui (AZ) – The Moroccan forward picked up the Eredivisie top scorer award, netting 23 goals in 30 appearances. El Hamdaoui is not only a clinical finisher but he has the vision to set up team-mates, too. The attacker played brilliant matches against Willem II and Sparta, and was crucial in his side's successful title bid with his goals.

Dans celle de VI,Il y'a Ronnie Stam de Twente et Maarteen Martens de l'AZ respectivement à la place de Marcellis et Holla.

 Inquietant pour le niveau de l'eredivisie : la Belgique a été écrasé 4-0 par le Japon avec 6 joueur de l'Eredivisie dans le 11 de départ. (Vermaelen , Alderweireld , Simons , Swerts , Pocognoli et Martens).

Ouais mais ce genre de tournoi ne veut pas dire grand chose. C'est un tournoi organisé au Japon, lequel a écrasé le Chili sur le meme score 4-0...
De plus il manquait beaucoup de cadres comme Van Buyten ou d'autres joueurs du Standard Liege. Le vrai test pour Advocaat et la Belgique, c'est le 6 ou 10 juin en éliminatoire (déja perdu) 2010 face a la Turquie je crois.

Il n'entraine plus le Zenit aux millions d'euros. Ca a du lui faire un choc de passer de 5 millions par an a .........50000 euros par mois

Dick Advocaat devient le nouveau sélectionneur de la Belgique pour les trois prochaines années. Auteur d'un joli parcours au sein du club russe du Zenith Saint-Pétersbourg, le coach néerlandais a privilégié l'option sélection plutôt que de reprendre un nouveau club. Le contrat sera signé sur une base de deux ans avec un an et demi en option. "J'ai eu d'autres propositions de clubs, mais tout était clair dans ma tête", a expliqué l'entraîneur, selon Sky Sports.
